What's so Sweet about Being 16 anyway?

Or seventeen, for that matter.

Yeah, guess I'm a little moody because last week it was my bday and I realised that I am getting old. And I'm still not pretty, or thin, or intelligent, or whatever I wanted to be a couple of years ago. And that makes me question: why are people such liers? I mean, I've never had older friends (to guide me to the dark days of childhood to tell me that I shouldn't use that damned pony tail 'cause I looked awful in it, or that I should start choosing my own clothes, for my mom doesn't really have a good taste), so I pretty much trusted what my friend said her older friends told her: that being sixteen/seventeen was the greatest thing ever. I guess I should go after these people to give them a good slap for deceiving us so bad 'cause I believed in them, but now I think: hey, I was sixteen for the intire last year, and it wasn't exactly something cool. For a matter a fact, it was just like when I was fifteen, except for the fact that I was the person laughing at the freshman at school, not the other way round. Bet this is another of the taboos we have in human society, just like kissing. I mean, I was deceived by my friends and the rest of the world, being told kissing was something cool, but guess what, I found it really gross. These are those kind of things everybody lies about just to be like everyone else and not being called a geek. Wonder what else people lie to me about.

And the system must be really getting me, I mean, today I went out dressed in a way that I feel almost embarrassed to tell: a pitiful green-brownish regatta (is this the freakin word?), jeans and my allstars. 'Kay, bet you must be thinking that's not a crime against fashion or society or whatever, that's actually pretty casual or something like that. The problem is that I like to dress real flashy. And by flashy I mean strange. I'm the sort of person that walks on the street with all the people looking at me and thinking What the heck is this girl thinking. Not like a ho or something like that, it's just that I like to make, ahn, peculiar combinations with my clothes. So today I felt real bad. Actually, now that I've mentioned it, it has been quite a while since my mom said to me: You're not going out on those clothes Carolina, go change. Guess this must be the thing that happens when you're seventeen: you get more boring. Yep, even though I'm the freak that wants to go to college since I was nine I'm not looking for growing up right now.

And on other news (I know, I always end up taling about music), I'm addicted to You Give Love a Bad Name lately (btw, I've posted this song and Sorafune by TOKIO on my Box). Have you ever heard this one? I know it's kind of old, but I love it, and I'm not sure why, when I hear this song it makes me feel like watching Grease, Footlose, Fame, Saturday Night Fever and all others old musicals. Sorry, I think it's time I reveal to you guys one of my secrets (okay, it's not really a secret): I'm completly addicted to musicals. Really, I know all the lyrics for Grease's songs in order. But now let's all be honests, okay? I mean John Travolta it's such a hunk.. Kay, now he's kinda fatty (but that don't make him less handsome), but look at him in those old movies.. Jeez he was such a hottie (sorry, I have a huge crush on him) Now I got in the mood.. So I'm going to post here the video Grease Lightinin'. This is not my favorite song in the movie, but John Travolta (sorry that I keep saying John Travolta, but I can't call him just John or Travolta, go figure) sure is super cute in this part of the movie. Enjoy :D

Since I'm at it, going to post a video from Saurday Night Fever as well

Black cats are way cooler

Do you know wich days is today? It's a friday, and the 13rd of April! Don't know about you guys, but here and the 13rd's that happens to be on Friday (this usually occurs just once a year) is sad bo be a day where you more likely to have bad-luck.. So beware! Did you cross with any black cats or passed under a star? Broke any mirrors?

Not really sure why, but this week semeed to pass by real quick.. I guess the universe is really working for me, so that my birthday comes faster.. And yesterday I was thinking and came to this conclusion: Damn, I'm getting old! Seriously, soon I'll be almost an elderly person! :O

And I don't know why, but for some time now I've been talking some bad things about Takizawa Hideaki (aka Tackey): that he wasn't cute anymore, when he usde to be so cool when he was younger.. So the other day I was watching some pvs from Tackey & Tsubasa, and I have to say I fell in love with Tackey again, and regret so much bad-mouthing him.. Anyway, I posted a verrry vicious pv from T&T called Kamen on my storage. It was the first time I've ever heard this song, and at first I thought it was a bit weird, but now I'm completly addicted to it. Besides, the pv itself is freaking awesome, so it's most definetly a 'must wacth' (don't know how anybody can look so hot with paint in his face). Also, I'm also posting the pv of Dame and Venus (both from T&T), as well the pv from a very cool music performed by Arumeria, called Eclair, and one called Keibetsu Shiteita Aiji by AKB48 (a kind of Morning Musume, but this one has 48 components :o freaking insane right? I mean, a band with forty eight girls??).

I guess I'm off to watch In Justice..

ps: and as promised I posted the songs from the box on the storage!

And the people in the dinning room...

Have you eve thought about how your friends are when you are not around then? Or more, do you ever think how's like to be someone that you don't know (and I don't mean celebrities)? Because sometimes I do get myself thinking how my friends are when I don't see them.. Like, when I miss school, do they act the same way as they do when I'm there? If they do (or if they don't), is it a bad or a good thing? And the people that I see through the car window everyday? What do they do after I see them?

Kay. Following up a great weekend tomorrow starts a four-day weekend. Sometimes I do thank the fact that I'm in a catholic country, and for their holidays...

Also, (I shoud've warned you guys today I'm the mood for questions) what do you guys think about wishes? What I mean is: do you know that thing that you swear you want with all your heart? Whys is that in the moment we can have them (and I think you can apply this to everything) they lose all their value, or better, they lose their importance to us? You know that this have happened to you too. I was just wandering why is that this happens...

And oh my god I just have to post this song here, I'm so addicted to it, really. It's not like I'm into country music, but have you ever heard Wasted, by Carrie Underwood?? Check it out on my box, it's awesome. By the way, I think I'll upload some of the older musics on the box to the Storapge page, cause the freakin widget takes half a century to load...

Sorry for the tiny post (I think)

bye bye!

Drums, Darkness and 300

Hey there people! Lemme tell about how great my weekend was! Okay, let's start with Saturday. After school I went to a japanese festival that is always held here in the city I live, called Hana Matsuri. I've been going to this and others similar festivals for some years now, but I have to admit to you guys that lately they've been real lame and boring for various reasons, but this one was super cool! Don't if I feel like this because they arranged the the food's and stuff's stands in a new way, or because the gang I was with this time was real fun, I just know that I had a great time and laughed a lot, even though I had to walk a couple of blocks to the market to pee :oo

Anyway this is not everything I want to say about hana. this year there a stand called Jworld, and they were selling some cool (and some expensive) stuff like garage kits, anime-themed necklaces and t-shirts, key chains, imported mangas and dvds (fake, but that's not the point). Well, the fact is I was looking at the dvds and I saw a dvd from Malice Mizer's Merveilles show!! I just had to buy it, you know.. I mean, I love Malice Mizer, Merveilles is their best CD. It was somewhat cheap, and I was expecting a super low quality image, but I was so wrong (and i was so glad to be wrong this time)! I don't know if they bought the original and made copies or whatever, but the point is the show is tv quality! I was so happy about this, you can't even imagine.

(I was going to talk about more stuff about the festival but I think it'd be too much, right?)

At night, wearing half of my cosplay, I went straight to the theater to watch a play called Pátria Armada. Maybe you don't know, but this play's name is making reference to my country's national anthem. In a lame translation in the anthem it would be ''loved country'' and ''armed country'' (in Portuguese is a kind of game if the words since it would be respectively Pátria Amada and Pátria Armada). Well, it was such a cooooool play. It was a kind of documentary-musical and it happened in Brazil's dictatorship period. Talked about USP's (that is only like the best college in Latin America, and my first choice to study next year) students that getting in the midst of student's protests against the government and some of their conflicts with a rival college, Mackenzie (that's basically a college for riches mama's sons). It was great.

And today I went to the cinema to watch 300. It was very cool (despite the sin's against what really happened :pp) and had some awesome special effects. I was even prod of Rodrigo Santoro, with his get up to play the persians king, even though I usually think he's a lousy actor...

Kay. At first I've decided to open the Storage (aka the site where I'll be posting the links for the things I upload) with the links of a very cool dorama that I'm watching right now, but the files are real big and it takes decades to upload the episode's parts.. So that will still take some time before I can post the links, so I decide to go simpler and post some videos! So today you can all go to the Storage link at the little menu and download the PV for Yamapi's Daite Senorita and the lives for Malice Mizer's Brise and Gackt's Luna. Their quality are not so great but I hope you can enjoy it anyway :DDD
